mestizaje II. inadvertent clouds and invisible men V. to reach Montego Bay Performed by MLC School Jazz Combo at the Sydney Opera House, June 2015 mestizaje is a musical response to the poetics of Cuban poet Jose Lezama Lima (1970-76). Lezama's poetics and use of wide-ranging inspirations, quotes and references mirror the concept of mestizaje; both are inclusive, and integrate.
