SOCIAL ISOLATION SAMBA

This piece has been designed so that students can play it at home, and not need any formal percussion instruments. It was devised during the early stages of the COVID pandemic as a way for students to engage in musicking using non-traditional musical instruments, or found sounds.

Students individually learn to play the piece, then film themselves (using something like Photobooth) performing their allocated part. They then upload their part to a cloud server (like OneDrive) so that the teacher can combine all the student parts together so they become a class ensemble.
